About Sakai

Gerard Flynn, Senior Director of IT Administration and Client Services, discusses Pepperdine University’s online program tool Sakai

Sakai is a learning management system and it’s used in many ways. Professor will post a syllabus there, the resources the students will use in the class perhaps, to read articles or watch videos. A professor may use it to offer assignments and collect quizzes and tests and this type of thing. But in addition, students can use it for themselves. They can create project sites for the group work and share among each other the things necessary to see in a given case study.
